FAN ART FRIDAY: “Colors part 12” by ScepterDPinoy

Okay, well, the title is a tad less grand than some of our previous features, but I think the art speaks for itself. Thanks to ScepterDPinoy, we have one of the few pictures depicting the world outside the Tower of Heaven, as Eid scales the game’s memorable final gauntlet in his quest for fortune.

For one thing, these colors are actually more accurate to the real Game Boy palette than the actual game. Technically, all the games are in grayscale, but thanks to the screens Nintendo went with, we now have the most repulsive color scheme you could be nostalgic about.

Not to mention, much of Tower of Heaven’s assets were drawn using Pixen, which is notorious for gradually fading and losing color info with each save. Hey, just because I link to something doesn’t mean you should click on it!
